14th Day - One of the Most Important Decision in Life

Friday, August 21, 2009 0
We had a long discussion last night. A very very looooooong one.
It involves a lot of emotions. We need a decision.
We talked and talked.
We listened to what everyone have to say and try to understand the intended messages.
Tired and we took a rest.

Extremely exhausted

and the next thing .....

Yam rice again!

Yam spotted!

machang kuih - Cat's recommendation

We still have fun bullying the hippo...

After a good day of rest, a decision must be made.
We voted.

We are to decide whether we would continue the journey as planned. Many concerns were discusses including financial resources, physical strength, time, emotional capacities...

Not this way of course...

Voting instruction:-
1. Go in front of the camera
2. Write either YES or NO (Yes=continue to cycle, NO=no more cycling)
3. Stuff your answer sheet into the box
4. Tell us why in front of the camera
KJ went first

while Sharon made faces

Emo'ing already...
This is the outcome

Next, we thought of seeing the Penang beach once more...

random shot in Penang island
Whatever outcome it is... Project Ryders had already marked its end. It is definitely a beautiful end. We made friends. We earn valuable experiences. We learnt much and most of all, we get to know what we want...

13th Day - Incomplete

Big thank you to Liggy and family for providing us a shelter for the night! Not forgetting your recommendation for breakfast place =)

Siape punya teh?

Without Ian and Jet, we have KJ in replacement. That leaves only Cat and Kai in car. Since Cat is busy driving (Driving is not of her automatic cognitive process yet...) while Kai navigating, not many (or I should say none) pictures of cyclists on the road.
Car crews stopped at a place to update the blog and the cyclists later met them to enquire Kai the exact route to Bukit Mertajam.
Concentrating..

Note Nic's signature expression!
Cat had been mentioning about some place with the name of Tiga Ringgit ever since they passed by the place. This time around, they are able to drive pass that area again and Cat managed to capture it down.

Permatang Tiga Ringgit

Cat: Hold the three ringgit with the sign!
Kai: *sweat*
Touched down in Bukit Mertajam, Cat's parents host the ryders again and treated them a great dinner! Many thanks to you, uncle auntie!

Cat & her parents thinking what to feed the ryders

After dinner, ryders decided to do some shopping
Thought it seemed to be an uneventful day but deep inside us, we have a thing that we could not tell. There are only 5 of us now and the lost of 2 members definitely brought some form of impact to each of us. Was the feelings of not being in the same team as it used to be? Was it because of the same route that we used that bored us? Was it our personal agendas? Was it the limited resources we have now?
